Requiem (Prarthana Sabha)
In the loving memory of our most Beloved Bhagawan, a special congregation of devotees was held on May 6th 2011, at all the 186 Sri Sathya Sai Centers and Devotional Groups in Nepal. The morning program began at 5 a.m. with the chanting of Aumkar, Suprabhatam and Nagarsankirtan. It was followed by Narayan Seva and special bhajans.
In the afternoon, Prarthana Sabha was held at 40 different Sri Sathya Sai Centres, located in the mostly populated urban areas. This special program was attended by around 10,000 devotees, including local religious leaders of different faiths. The prayer program began with the offering of flower bouquet at the Lotus Feet of Bhagawan by religious Gurus and seniors from the organization. Selected ardent devotees of Bhagawan made deliberations on the life and message of Bhagawan and His expectations from the devotees and their commitments. On the occasion, the religious Gurus highlighted Bhagawan's contributions for the welfare of the humankind. Many of the Gurus prayed for the early re-incarnation of the Sai Avatar. The nearly 3 hours program came to a close by offering Mangal Aarati to Bhagawan and the distribution of Prasadam.
